ABC – Autonomous Building for Citizens

The ABC concept aims for energy and water self-sufficiency and optimised waste management. ABC offers a different way of thinking about and living in a habitat, by integrating the habitat into its natural environment from which it draws the resources it needs to function (rain, sun, etc.).

The ABC concept innovates via the use of construction processes with built-in standardisation, and on the other hand, research into low-carbon materials.

The ABC project is intended for urban environments. It places residents at the heart of the construction project in order to meet their expectations and respond to societal changes.

This project was born of collaboration between Valode & Pistre and the research and development branch of Groupe Bouygues in partnership with, most notably, the Adème (the French Agency for Ecological Transition) and Suez.
