Élisabeth Ballet

Born in 1957 in Cherbourg.
Lives and works in Paris.
Graduated from of the National School of Fine Arts in Paris in 1981 and a resident at the prestigious Villa Medicis in Rome from 1984 to 1985, and its New York branch in 1989, Élisabeth Ballet, a Pollock and Krasner Foundation fellow in 1994, enjoys international renown. Alongside her career as an artist, she also teaches at the Fine Arts schools in Grenoble, Lyon, and at the Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

Her works, custom-made, straddle the line between sculpture and installation, figuration and abstraction, all infused with the exploration of space and volumes.

She worked on the facades of the Cinétic building, Porte des Lilas in Paris, in 2009.
