Haikou Hotel
The Haikou Hotel, located in the port zone of the city of Haikou in the island province of Hainan, forms part of the vast Haikou International Duty-Free City, the aims of which are to create a dynamic international tourism location, develop the city’s activities and create a link between the island the mainland.

The hotel consists of an elliptical central podium with four storeys, flanked by two hotel towers. At the centre of the podium, a landscaped interior courtyard offers an exceptional space for relaxing outdoors and can also host events.
The project consists of 19 storeys and combines standard rooms, suites and executive lounges, restaurants and bars, reception and conference rooms, shops and terrace gardens. The building’s semi-closed ring-shaped volume and the undulations of its façade, arranged so as to interweave, are evocative of waves, thus creating a direct link with the city of Haikou’s local culture and its identity as a seaside resort. The façade consists of wood, white metal, stone in warm colours and anti-reflective glass.
