Beaugrenelle
The screen printed glass – the sole material used on the façades – and the fluidity and simplicity of the volumes give the ensemble a very strong identity. Aside from the shops located at street level, the retail spaces are served by two atriums set at the heart of each of the blocks that constitute the centre. One atrium is circular and visible through the building from the street, and the other is wide open to the Seine via a huge glass wall and arranged in tiers in the direction of the river.
On either side of the Pont de Grenelle, two circular extensions dedicated to panoramic restaurants define a gateway to Paris’s 15th arrondissement, a symbolic contribution by the shopping centre to the fabric of the city.
