Nike Store & Offices

The building at 79 Champs-Élysées is an exceptional property. Exceptional for its high-quality 1930s architecture, for its emblematic location on the Champs-Élysées and for its image, as immortalised by Catherine Deneuve in Belle de Jour.

This renovation project proposed both the creation of a new identity based on contemporary and historic spaces, each setting the other off to advantage, and also the creation of new spaces dedicated entirely to the Nike identity. The central staircase, a listed Historic Monument, and the landings, converted to foyers for informal social interaction, provide a magnificent setting and are the dominant features of this architectural jewel.

The “prime” offices offer an innovative design suited to the never-ending cultural transformation of the workspace: ease of circulation, comfort, flexibility, adaptability and ease of social interaction all characterise this prestigious building. The crowning glory of this renovation is the new terrace: large, accessible and planted, it affords a panoramic view of the world’s most beautiful avenue.

Nike’s prestige and dynamism are congruent with this setting, and the balance between brand and building accentuates their respective identities.
