Yann Kersalé

Born in 1955 in Paris.
Lives and works in Paris.
Graduating from the École des Beaux-Arts in Quimper in 1978, Yann Kersalé began his career in theatrical lighting and stage design.

By the late 1980s, after several projects illuminating buildings such as the Tour de Fourvière in Lyon and the Grand Palais’s glass roof in Paris, he initiated the "Nuit des Docks" luminous festival in Saint-Nazaire in 1991. The 1990s cemented his reputation as a major figure in architectural and urban lighting, with projects including the dock in Cherbourg, Lyon Opera House, Agbar Tower in Barcelona, Sony-Center in Berlin, airports in Bangkok and Chicago, and the Place de la République in Paris.

He designed the ceilings of the agency’s hall in 2016.
